Anna/Jo. {Implied AU} Ease my Pain (SPN) (by RavenRoth1993)

I was stationed on Earth, two thousand years. Just watching. Silent, invisible… out in the road… sick for home, waiting for orders from an unknowable Father I can’t begin to understand!

“Yeah well I’ll bring you back some holy cypress and blessed evergreen stakes.” Gabe rubs the back of his neck, wondering what else he can say to Anna. There’s no good reason he hasn’t been by other than he’s just lazy and doesn’t feel like getting back into the family yet. “Maybe next time I’ll get to meet your monster.” He laughs a little before disappearing to go get the stakes. The cypress ones are going to be hard to find now.
Sighing Anna looks at where Gabe left from, the library is wet and she always worried more about Gray burning it down, she never thought a drowned archangel would do more damage. She doesn’t believe they will be a next time, Gabe will just drop them off randomly with a note or something. Leaving the library she goes to get some towels and a mop.

“I’ll go see about it then.” Gabriel shrugs at her glare. He gets ready to go just because it’s less awkward than staying here and getting yelled at for being the one archangel who would just prefer not to be in charge of anything more important than bringing the beer. “I meant to stop by earlier and see how you were. Sorry I didn’t.”
Anna shrugs at his apology. “It’s fine, you’re busy being an archangel.” She bites her tongue not adding that she understands, he’s too busy turning other angels into cats and flirting with a demon.

“Want me to go see if there’s any of that cypress left to stab him with? Since you know, I can travel to find it easier than you.” Gabriel doesn’t know how she puts up being without powers. He wouldn’t be able to stand it. That’s why he went Trickster instead of falling to human.
Anna glares at Gabe rubbing it in that she’s again powerless to do anything and she just nods. “Couldn’t hurt.” She’s never really minded being human till things like this come up and Jo pointing out her flaws as a human hunter. At least with Gabe she thinks he won’t be breathing down her neck trying to protect her.

“If he’s a god I wonder if the Pagan weaknesses apply to him. Have you tried staking him with evergreen?” Gabriel gets out of the chair, stretching. As nice as being able to sit down in a real seat is, he wants to walk around for a bit. He starts looking at the different books on the library shelves.
“No.” Anna sits there thinking about it, even if it didn’t kill him, maybe it could contain him or slow him down. “It’s worth a try though. Maybe like the Whore, something holy would work.” Gray is not going to be happy if he finds out what she’s talking to Gabriel about.

“Can’t imagine he would, after all monsters usually stick to monster business. And these demon warding spells you’ve got everywhere don’t help do they?” If they did she probably wouldn’t be working on modified traps. The archangel wonders if Crowley counts as a god type creature now and if so whether a stake might work.
“Nothing works on Crowley that would work on a demon. Traps, holy water, iron. Crowley doesn’t seem pressed to actually kill anyone, being a god just makes him a bigger dick.” Bending over she picks up one the torn pages that missed the trash and she begins to fidget with it by tearing into pieces, taking out her frustration on it.
